Nora Marku, Director
Nora Marku is the Director of the Albanian Film Association, based in Toronto and established in 2017. She holds a BFA in Film Production from York University, and has worked extensively in the film and cultural sectors in both Toronto and Kosovo. She is currently a programmer at the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival, has previously worked at the Toronto International Film Festival, and has also served as a pre-screener for the DokuFest Documentary and Short Film Festival, based in Prizren, Kosovo. Nora is currently studying for her Ontario paralegal license.

Hana Marku, Organizer
Hana is an immigration and refugee lawyer based in Toronto, Canada. She holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School and an MA in Communication & Culture from York University.
Hana has reported on Albanian language film, theatre and literature for Kosovo 2.0 and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. She has been an AFA organizer since 2017.

Sia Mehilli, Organizer
Sia graduated from York University with a degree in Film and Media Studies and has worked with numerous festivals in Toronto. She now works in broadcasting and is a regular programmer of the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival. Her favourite film is The Lion King and her favourite football club is Bayern Munich. She speaks three languages and loves coffee, books and video games.

Borana Makri, Organizer
Borana is a stand up comedian and producer of comedy shows all over Toronto. She has hosted a number of shows in the past, the most recent being “Sit Down and Shut Up!” where she is sole producer, and “Punch Up Comedy” which she co-produces with a feminist comedian collective. Borana studies linguistics at the University of Toronto.
